Eligibility Criteria

Criteria	Men & Women (Common)
Nationality	Indian Citizen
Age Limit	19–25 years as on 01 Jan 2026 (Born between 02 Jan 2001 and 01 Jan 2007, both dates inclusive)
Education	Graduation with minimum 50% marks (aggregate). Final year students may apply (provisional as per notification).
NCC Qualification	NCC ‘C’ Certificate with minimum ‘B’ grade. NCC service tenure and participation as per rules.
Marital Status	Unmarried (training period में marriage allowed नहीं है).
Physical/Medical	As per Army standards (height, weight, eyesight). Detailed medical at designated service hospitals.

Selection Process (Stage-wise)

Stage	Details
1) Shortlisting	Online applications scrutinized as per eligibility; shortlisted candidates को SSB call-up.
2) SSB Interview – Stage I	OIR (Officer Intelligence Rating) + PP&DT (Picture Perception & Discussion). Clear करने पर Stage II.
3) SSB Interview – Stage II	Psych Tests, GTO Tasks (group discussions, command tasks, obstacles), Interview. Total 4–5 days.
4) Medical	Detailed medical examination at service hospitals (ENT, eye, dental, overall health).
5) Merit List	SSB marks + medical fitness के आधार पर final merit. Training joining letter accordingly.

Training @ IMA, Dehradun

Duration: ~49 weeks (Pre-commission).
Curriculum: Military subjects, leadership, field craft, weapon training, drill, physical conditioning.
Discipline: Training period में marriage permitted नहीं। Rules का सख्ती से पालन करना होगा।

Facilities: Accommodation, messing, medical, sports, library.
Lifestyle: Early mornings, PT, classes, field exercises, regular assessments.
Outcome: Successful completion पर Permanent Commission as Lieutenant.
